Upgrade, not a separate tour
A private tour costs the normal tour price per driver plus a ฿2,000 VIP upgrade for the whole group, however many of you ride. Two drivers on the 3-hour ATV & Elephant Experience pay ฿3,990 each plus the upgrade: ฿9,980 in total. The upgrade buys your own guide and your own start time.
Every ride on our list of ATV, buggy and elephant tours is sold as a shared departure: up to 8 vehicles behind one guide, leaving your hotel at 08:30. The upgrade changes three things about that arrangement and deliberately leaves everything else alone.
The first is who is in the group: the departure closes, so no other family is slotted in beside you and the vehicle limit becomes your ceiling rather than a queue you fit into. The second is the clock: instead of the shared 08:30 van you name the hour and we confirm what the camp can take.
The third is the pace. A shared convoy moves at the speed of everybody in it, so the cautious rider hurries and the confident one waits. Privately the guide answers to you: stop for photographs, ride the muddy line twice, or cut the break short. For the ordinary version first, read how an ATV tour in Pattaya actually works.
Four honest promises
Four things change. We would rather list them plainly than dress the word VIP up with extras nobody has agreed to provide.
One English-speaking guide, your booking and no other, from the briefing to the last photo stop.
08:30 is the shared default. Privately you name the hour and we confirm it with the camp first.
Pull up when the light is good or somebody needs a breather. No convoy behind you is waiting.
The departure closes the moment yours is in it. You will not be paired with another family on the trail.
The other half of the answer
The fee buys the group and the hour. It is worth being blunt about the rest, because the things people occasionally expect it to move are the things it cannot.
There is one trail network and every tour draws its ride from it. Closing the departure does not open ground that shared groups never see, and it does not add distance to a ninety-minute booking.
Whatever the camp runs is what your group rides. Paying the group fee does not put you on a different machine.
Drivers from 16, passengers from 4, helmets on, the whole briefing sat through. A private group hears the same talk as a shared one, and nobody is waved past it.
Feeding and walking, and on the longer tours the mud bath and the river, exactly as they happen for everybody else. Never riding. The elephants keep their own hours whoever booked the morning.
No photographer walks with you, no separate catering turns up, and lunch on the tours that include it is whatever the camp is cooking that day. If a shared booking does not include it, the fee does not buy it.
Private is not unaccompanied. A guide is at the front and your group stays behind him, and “your own pace” means nobody is hurrying you, not that the trail can be taken faster than it should be.
Per group. The private VIP upgrade is a flat ฿2,000 added once to any tour, whether two of you ride or eight, on top of the normal per-driver price. Two drivers on the 2-hour Experienced ATV Ride pay ฿3,390 each plus the ฿2,000: ฿8,780 for the pair.
Price maths
There is no separate private tariff. Take the tour you want, add ฿2,000 once for the whole group, and that is the number. Passenger seats are charged per tour on top: ฿990 on the two ATV rides, ฿1,490 on the elephant combo and ฿2,990 on the five-hour day.

Two parents driving, two children as passengers, on the 3-hour ATV & Elephant Experience, closed to the family. Nothing is added except the group fee itself.
Put the same four in a 4-seater buggy and the sum changes shape: the buggy is priced per vehicle at ฿5,690 on this tour, with up to 3 passengers already in it, so the group total is ฿7,690, ฿5,270 less than four of you on quads. Check any total against every published price.

Yes, any tour can be closed to one family. Two parents driving the 1.5-hour Beginner ATV Ride with two children as passengers is ฿9,760 all in: ฿2,890 per driver, ฿990 per passenger and one ฿2,000 group fee. Drivers must be 16; passengers ride from 4.
Who books it
Every tour we run can be closed to one party. Five kinds of group ask for it most, and the fee earns its keep differently in each.
With a nine-year-old on the back, the stopping matters more than the riding. A private guide waits without anyone sighing.
The fee is what pays for that waiting: split across four of you it is ฿500 a head, less than a single passenger seat on any of the tours; the cheapest of those is ฿990.
Honeymoons and anniversaries, usually on the 2-hour Experienced Ride. Two quads, one guide, and as long as you like at the viewpoint with nobody else in the frame.
Two drivers on that tour is ฿8,780. What the fee buys a couple is negative: the six strangers who are not in the photographs.
An off-site wants one departure, one guide and one total, not a booking split across two shared vans. Across eight people the upgrade is ฿250 a head.
Eight drivers on the 5-hour Ultimate Jungle Adventure is ฿49,920, settled once at the camp in cash or by card rather than eight people working out who owes what.
This is the hardest group to put in a shared convoy. The pace lands wrong for both halves of it, and the guide has nowhere to put the difference.
Privately he can let the front two work at the rutted sections and then come back down for the others, because nobody is standing at the top of the climb waiting. Four drivers on the 3-hour ATV & Elephant Experience is ฿17,960, fee included.
A flight later on, or a ship to be back aboard, and the shared 08:30 van is the wrong shape for the morning.
We will not pretend to solve a tight schedule from here. What we can say is that on a private booking the start time is agreed with you rather than fixed, so the day can begin when it suits your group. Two drivers on the shortest tour, the 1.5-hour Beginner ATV Ride, is ฿7,780.
Agreeing the hour
08:30 is the shared default because it is the hour the vans, the guides and the camp are already set up for. Moving it is ordinary on a private booking. Agreed is still the operative word: three diaries have to meet.
Six things let us answer in one message: the date, how many of you are coming, which tour, how many of those will be driving, the hotel we are collecting from, and the hour you want to leave. Leave one out and the reply is a question instead of an answer.
We check the hour you want against what the camp and the guide can do that day, then come back with a yes, a no, or the nearest time that works. Nothing is held until you have seen that and said go ahead, and nothing is paid until you are standing at the camp. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
A later start puts the trail in the warmer part of the day. Drinking water is included either way; you will simply get through more of it.
Better for photographs, and less of it left at the end. A five-hour tour needs more daylight in front of it than a ninety-minute ride does.
On the tours that include it, the meal travels with the tour rather than staying at midday. Say so if that will not suit somebody and we will work around it.

How a private day runs
The shape below is the ATV & Elephant Experience (3 hours) with a 10:00 pickup, ninety minutes after the shared van leaves. Slide the whole column earlier or later: the agreed time is the point of the upgrade.
Van to your door in Pattaya, Jomtien and Na Jomtien. The standard departure is 08:30; this group asked for later.
Helmets and gloves fitted, controls explained, practice loop ridden; a conversation rather than a lecture.
The same 16 km of private track, at whatever speed suits your party, with photo stops where you ask.
On the combo and half-day tours: prepare the food, meet the herd, then Thai lunch with nobody rushing the table.
Drop-off at the same door. Timing changes are settled on WhatsApp beforehand.

Everything a shared booking includes is still included. The honest half is the right-hand column: the upgrade buys exclusivity, not a different product.
Group size & requirements
Private changes who rides with you, not who is allowed to hold the handlebars.
A couple pays the same ฿2,000 as a party of eight, so the share per head shrinks as the group grows.
A maximum of 8 vehicles rides together, private or not. Needing more? Send the numbers before you plan around it.
Drivers from 16, passengers from 4. No Thai driving licence is required: the trails are private land.
Pregnancy, a back or heart condition, recent surgery, anyone under 16, anyone who has been drinking: passenger seat only, or another date. A private booking makes no exception.
