The short version

Who runs Pattaya ATV & Elephant Tour?

Pattaya ATV & Elephant Tour is a booking brand, not the trail owner. One established local operator runs the 16 km private trail network and the elephant camp; we choose the tours, publish every price in baht, brief you before you go and answer on WhatsApp. We take responsibility for what this site says.

The trails, the quads, the buggies, the guides and the elephant camp belong to an established local operator in the hills behind Pattaya. We do not own a machine or employ a guide. What we own is this site, the prices printed on it and the WhatsApp thread you book through, and those are the three things you should hold us to.

That arrangement is ordinary in Pattaya. Saying so out loud is less ordinary, and it matters, because it tells you where to point a complaint. If the trail is muddier than you expected, that is the season doing its job. If a sentence on any of our tour pages turned out to be wrong, that is ours, and we would rather hear about it than not.

So this is not a founder story. There is no founding year here, no head count, no “over 10,000 happy guests”, no scanned certificate. That is the standard furniture of an about page and we have not earned a single piece of it yet: the site is new, and we have no verified guest reviews to show you either. What we can show you is how the booking actually works, what we refuse to do, and every price we charge, with the date we last checked it.

How this works

The whole arrangement, in six entries

Most tour sites describe a feeling. This one describes a contract: who owns what, who pays whom, and what we will not do for money. Read it before you book rather than after.

  1. Who owns the trail and the camp

One established local operator runs the 16 km trail network, the fleet, the guides, the camp and the elephant programme. We deliberately do not name them. They are a separate business with their own brand, and welding the two names together would only blur who is answerable for what; theirs is the ground, ours is the promise made about it.

We will not hand the name over in a message either. We will describe the camp, the machines and the six tours we sell from it in as much detail as you want before you commit.

    The operator
  2. What we actually do

Five things. Choose which tours are worth selling and leave the rest off. Publish the real price of each one in baht, per driver and per passenger, with no figure hidden until checkout. Brief you honestly about age limits, terrain and what the safety rules really require. Pass the booking on with your names, hotel, date and vehicle split. Then stay reachable while you are out there.

That is the entire job. Nothing on this list involves driving you anywhere.

    Our job
  3. How we are paid

The operator pays us a commission when a booking actually runs. You pay us nothing: the prices here are the operator’s selling prices, we add no markup of our own, and you settle the whole amount at the camp on the day in cash or by card. No deposit. Pay in cash or by card at the camp. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.

It is worth understanding what that does to our incentives. We are paid for bookings that happen, not for bookings that are taken, which is why nobody here will talk a nervous rider onto the two-hour technical route. The whole tariff is on the price list, per driver and per passenger.

    The money
  4. What we will not do

We will not sell elephant riding, or arrange it somewhere else if you ask privately. We will not take a deposit. We will not publish a review we cannot trace to a real booking, or print a star rating before real ones exist, which is why our reviews page explains the gap instead of filling it. And we will not invent a statistic to make a paragraph sound heavier.

    The refusals
  5. What we have not confirmed yet

Some of what this site says is inference rather than confirmed fact, and we would rather flag that than let it pass. The 08:30 pickup is confirmed; the minute-by-minute timings on the tour pages are arithmetic built on it, and they are indicative. Prices come straight from the operator’s rate sheet and were verified on 2026-08-23.

Where we are working from an assumption we say so in the paragraph itself, not in a footnote nobody reads. If you find something written as fact that is not one, tell us and it gets fixed the same day.

    The gaps
  6. What to do if something goes wrong

Message the same WhatsApp thread you booked through. It is a conversation, not a ticket queue, and our hours are Daily 07:00–18:00 ICT. If the problem is at the camp (a vehicle, a pickup that did not arrive, something you were told that contradicts this site), tell us while you are still standing there, because that is when it can still be fixed.

We take it to the operator and come back to you. What we cannot do is overrule a guide who says the water is too high or that somebody should not drive, and we will not pretend otherwise. Both our channels are here.

    If it goes wrong

Editorial standards

The rules this site is written under

Not a mission statement. Six rules every page had to pass before it went up, written down plainly so you can check them yourself and tell us when we have broken one.

Every price carries a date

Prices are published in Thai baht, taken from the operator's rate sheet, and stamped with the day we last checked them. Today that stamp reads 2026-08-23. We re-check monthly; when a number moves, the date moves with it.

No statistic we cannot source

No guest counts, no years of experience, no awards, no “rated number one”. Every figure on this site comes from the operator’s documents or from arithmetic you can repeat yourself.

No false urgency

No countdowns, no “only two places left”, no “weekends fill fast”. If a date is genuinely full, the message you get says it is full.

No photograph pretending to be our trail

Pictures show the kind of riding and the kind of elephant programme you are booking. A stock image is never captioned as a place we send you, and no photograph is presented as a guest’s own.

No review markup without reviews

No stars, no review counts, and no Review or AggregateRating code in this site’s structured data until verified guest reviews exist. Rich-result stars are easy to fake, which is exactly why they are worth nothing here.

No elephant riding, anywhere, at any price

Feeding, walking, mud bath and river. We do not sell riding, we do not arrange it at another camp on request, and we do not treat it as a negotiable preference.

The ground itself

The trail, and the country it sits in

The riding is on 16 km of private trail in the hills behind Pattaya, in Chonburi province: a working piece of back country rather than a landscaped park. It is inland from the beach road, close enough that hotel pickup at 08:30 covers Pattaya, Jomtien and Na Jomtien and far enough that the traffic stops being part of the day.

Because the land is private, No Thai driving licence is required: the trails are private land. You are never on a public road, which is the entire reason a machine you could not legally ride through town is fine out here. It is also why the guide’s word on the trail is final: it is somebody’s property, not a right of way.

What the ground does through the year

Roughly November to April: dry

Hard ground, red dust and ruts set like concrete. Expect the water crossings to be shallow rather than absent, and bring something for your face.

Roughly May to October: wet

The messiest months, and the ones most riders enjoy most. Standing water in the low sections, clay that grabs a wheel. Tours run; storms are what stops them.

All year: the line changes

Ruts move, sections get left out when the water is high, and the guide picks the route on the day. Wear clothes you are willing to ruin. The beginner ride stays on the gentler ground.

The elephant camp

One camp, and the limits of what we can tell you

We work with one elephant camp rather than a list of them. A single relationship is the only version of this we can actually stand behind.

Selling three or four camps interchangeably means describing places you have not looked at properly and cannot answer for. One camp means the programme on our tour pages is the programme that happens: feeding by hand, walking with the herd and, on the longer tours, the mud bath and the river.

There is no riding. No saddles, no shows, no painting, and no part of the programme staged purely as a photo opportunity. That is not a preference we negotiate; it is the reason this brand exists in the shape it does, and it applies to a private group paying more just as it applies to everyone else.

Here is the honest limit. We speak for what a visitor sees during the programme and nothing further. We do not publish claims about where the elephants came from, how many there are, or how the hours you are not there are spent, not because the answers are bad, but because we have not verified them, and an about page is precisely the wrong place to guess.

About the brand

Questions about us, rather than the tours

Seven things people ask once they realise we are not the camp. Questions about the riding itself are on the general questions page.

Are you the tour operator?
No. We are a booking brand. One established local operator owns the 16 km of private trail, the quads and buggies, the guides and the elephant camp; we choose which of their tours to sell, publish the prices, brief you and book you in. We are answerable for every sentence on this site and for the answer you get on WhatsApp.
Where are you based?
The riding is in the hills behind Pattaya, in Chonburi province, and hotel pickup covers Pattaya, Jomtien and Na Jomtien. We do not publish a shopfront address, because we do not run one. The camp belongs to the operator, not to us, and putting their gate on our map would be misleading. Our channel is WhatsApp, Daily 07:00–18:00 ICT.
What languages do you answer in?
English, Русский, עברית, ไทย. Guides at the camp brief in English. If your group needs another language on the trail itself, ask before you book rather than on the morning, so we can check instead of guess.
Is the price the same as booking direct at the camp?
The prices on this site are the operator's own selling prices in Thai baht and we add no markup of our own: the 1.5 hours Beginner ATV Ride is ฿2,890 per driver here and ฿2,890 at the camp. You pay at the camp on the day, so the money never passes through us; the operator pays us a commission afterwards, and there is no booking fee or service charge at any point. We cannot speak for what a walk-up visitor is quoted at the gate, only for what is printed here.
What happens if the camp cancels?
Storms are the usual reason. Because nothing is paid in advance there is no refund to chase: you either take another date or you do not go, and we tell you as early as we know. If a departure is called off after you have already been collected, say so in the same WhatsApp thread and we take it to the operator.
Why are there no reviews or star ratings on this site?
Because we have no verified guest reviews yet, and inventing them is the one shortcut that would make everything else here worthless. There is no Review or AggregateRating code in this site's structured data and no rating on any page. When real reviews exist they will be attributable to real bookings.
Do you arrange elephant riding if I ask privately?
No: not here, not at another camp, not at any price. The programme is feeding, walking and, on the longer tours, the mud bath and the river. No saddles, no shows, no painting. It is the one request we turn down without discussing the money.
